The baseball cap is made of preshrunk fabric so it can be hand wash with a mild soap or detergent. Do not use bleach and try not to get leather band wet. Gently squeeze or pat away excess water. Shape and lay flat or hang to dry.
Fabric:

Straw:
For dry soil we suggest a small whisked broom to get into the straw crevices. You can also use a soft brush, sponge, or moist cloth. Due to the unique and porous nature of straw it can be susceptible to stains. This only adds to the individualistic qualities of the hat and will create a cool patina look so in the event of spilled red wine — go with it and show off one more travel story. We recommend using Kahl Hat Stiffener and a steamer for shaping and annual upkeep.

Felted Wool:
Felt has a natural nap so it must be brushed in a counter-clockwise direction with the crown facing you using a soft bristled hat brush or sponge. For grease spots use cornstarch and brush away. If your hat gets wet allow it to air dry; do not use heat to dry as it will cause shrinking. We recommend using Kahl Hat Stiffener and a steamer for shaping and annual upkeep.

Stiffening your Molded Hat:
After many miles and memories we recommend giving your packable hat a little love for a maximum travel mileage.
What you’ll need:
- Hat Stiffener Spray (we recommend Kahl Hat Stiffener)
- Steamer (can substitute a Steam Iron but do not press iron to hat, just use steam)
- Towel
